A Fruitful and Meaningful Year of the Horse

Chinese New Year is my favorite festival for a lot of wonderful reasons.

The primary reason I cherish this season is the abundance of irresistible festive delicacies. Dishes like Poon Choi and various traditional desserts seem to taste even more delicious during the New Year. Fried turnip cake, in particular, is my absolute favorite. My passion for it is so great that I urge my mother and my aunts to organize a yearly "workshop" to prepare it from scratch. These homemade versions are incomparable because they are seasoned with family love and shared laughter. It is a tradition I am eager to preserve and pass on to future generations.

Furthermore, I value Chinese New Year for the precious opportunities it brings to gather with family and friends. I believe that maintaining face-to-face connections is essential. Whether we are sharing updates on our lives or reminiscing about fond memories, the joy comes from the quality of the company and the vibrant atmosphere.

I hope that each of you enjoys quality time with your loved ones while savoring the festive food and spirit. Our family and cultural traditions are the foundation of who we are, and there is no better time to embrace them than now.

I wish you all a healthy, prosperous, and meaningful Year of the Horse.
